September around here means football, new beginnings, and birthdays. We spent Labor Day weekend in Dothan and Troy enjoying a few football games and a birthday celebration. We watched our nephews play on Friday night which also happened to be their 17th birthday. It was a great game! It is always fun to go to these games since we get to see people from Tim's hometown that we don't see very often. On Saturday evening, we went to Troy to watch the Trojan game. We are so lucky that our sweet friends shared their box seats again! Natalie loves everything about the games but her favorite part is when they bring out the ice cream cart out during the 3rd quarter. Here are a few shots of her enjoying the game.

Here a sweet picture of Natalie enjoying some play time with her cousin, Riley during our visit to Dothan.
As for new beginnings, Natalie moved into a new class at daycare and in Sunday school. Someone must have told her that the 3 year old class at daycare was "preschool" because she corrects me if I refer to it as daycare. She is loving her new class with all the new toys and the "big playground". Natalie started going to the Awana program, Cubbies, at church on Wednesday evenings. This is a fun bible study program for preschoolers. The first Wednesday night was amusing because when I told Natalie that we were going to Awanas, she asked me if Nana was going to be there. I was quite confused because Nana lives a couple of hours away and doesn't go to church with us very often. On the drive to church, Natalie kept asking when we were going to see her. Who, I ask.... Awana, she says. I told her Awana was a program at school. After many confusing questions, I realized that Natalie thought I was saying "Aunt Wanda". Aunt Wanda is her great aunt who goes to church with Nana : ) Funny girl! In her Cubbies class, they work on scripture memory. On the second night of class, the teacher asked who learned their bible verse that week. Natalie raises her hand and says, "My Daddy did!"
Our sweet girl also started taking dance lessons this year. She is enrolled in a ballet/tap combo class with two of her friends. She was a little nervous on the first day but is really enjoying it now. At home, she frequently asks to wear her "tap tap" shoes. I know I am a little prejudice, but I believe she is the most beautiful ballerina ever!
Granny's birthday also falls in September. We enjoyed having some family over to celebrate. Here's a picture of Granny, Natalie and her cousin, Ava.
